Effective use of the Reanibex 300 saves a man’s life
A man who suffered a cardiac arrest in a public street in Eibar was revived thanks to the quick action of the Municipal Police and the use of the Reanibex 300 defibrillator, developed and manufactured by us at Bexen Cardio.
The incident occurred last Tuesday afternoon, when officers used the device to deliver a shock that restored the patient’s pulse before the arrival of emergency services.
The intervention, an example of coordination and effectiveness, highlights the importance of having accessible defibrillators and trained personnel ready to act in a cardiac emergency.
A reminder on World Restart a Heart Day
This story comes just after the celebration of World Restart a Heart Day, promoted by the Spanish Council of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CERCP) and supported by professionals and organizations across Europe.
The initiative focuses on the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training and the installation of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in both public and private spaces.
Every year, more than 30,000 people suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in Spain.
According to the CERCP, immediate CPR and AED use can double or even triple survival chances.
However, citizen intervention rates remain low, which reinforces the need to continue promoting a culture of cardio-protection.
